Obituary of Paul Duane

Mr. Paul O. Duane, age 92, formerly of Sandy Lane and 550 E. John St. and most recently a resident at the Country Manor Nursing Home, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday morning, April 12, 2003 in Little Falls Hospital. Mr. Duane was born on December 25, 1910 in New York City a son of the late David and Catherine (McElroy) Duane. He was raised and educated in New York City and at one time lived in White Plains. On July 3, 1930 he was united in Holy Matrimony with the former Helen Mikus at the Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church in Little Falls. Mrs. Duane passed away on January 18, 2001. He was last employed as a foreman with the former H.P. Snyder Manufacturing Company for many years, retiring in 1975. Mr. Duane was a communicant of the Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. He leaves three beloved daughters, Jacqueline Kelly and husband Gene of Glens Falls, Barbara Stock and husband Earl of Little Falls and Kathleen Martin of Bridgewater, six cherished grandchildren, Brian Kelly, David Fantera, Deborah Fantera and husband John Fontillas, Sharon Fantera, Theresa Stock and husband Richard Melendez and Kristina Rose and husband Michael, three adored great grandchildren, Brittany and Michael Rose and Alexandra Melendez, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paulette Fantera and a sister Kathleen Rixon. Visitation at the Enea Funeral Home will be on Monday, April 14, 2003 from 5-8 p.m. Mr. Duane's funeral will commence at 11 am on Tuesday morning, April 15 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered by the Rev. Charles R. Celeste, pastor of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Music will be offered by Helen Maksymicz, organist. Kindly consider honoring Mr. Duane's memory with contributions to the Country Manor Nursing Home, envelopes are available at the Enea Funeral Home. Spring interment will be held in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls. The family would like to offer their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of the Country Manor Nursing Home for the tender love and care given to Paul while he was residing there.
